1926 Vogue
I've loved this vintage Vogue cover illustration by Andre E. Marty - the funky zebra! those three giraffes on the horizon! the lady and her rosy cheeks and that outfit! - ever since I first saw it at my favorite French coffee spot. I was having brunch there with a friend earlier this week, and high on my second very large and strong iced-coffee, I declared to 'dedicate a large part of my afternoon' to finding one. I did not have much luck finding an original (yet!) but much to my excitement, I found a reproduction available via Conde Nast and promptly ordered it online. I cannot WAIT for it to arrive. I plan to frame it in a simple glossy white wood frame and hang it over my desk so when I look up from my computer, I am transported to January 1926 Vogue's version of Africa.
